July Volunteer of the Month: Dan True

Here, Dan True helps out during a rescue mission. Dan is a volunteer superstar, volunteering over 450 hours in 2016!

Congratulations to Dan True, July’s Volunteer of the Month! Dan has been volunteering with Coastal for several years, and in that time, he has become an integral part of the family.  Dan embodies the spirit of giving, and is always looking for where he is needed most in the shelter. You can often find him working hard in our continuously full laundry room, and while he is forever dedicated to the cats, he has also branched out to become a dog walker.  He even helps out at the administrative offices during mail campaigns.  While he wears many different hats at the shelter, Dan’s favorite role is as an adoption counselor.  In his own words, “It’s almost magical when you help find the exact match for an adopter with one of our animals. I truly believe that every one of our animals has a perfect match out there.” Dan always has a smile on his face and a comforting presence. We are always happy to see him come through the door, and we are very lucky that he comes through the door a lot! He volunteered 450+ hours in 2016! His dedication to helping animals is inspiring, and we would be lost with out him. Thank you for all of your hard work, Dan!
