December Volunteer of the Month: Ben Demars

Ben Demars... Volunteer of the Month!

Thank you for being selfless with your time, Ben! (Ben is pictured here with his dog, Cody.)

Congratulations to Ben DeMars, December’s Volunteer of the Month!  Ben has been volunteering with Coastal Humane Society since 2015 in a many roles.  Despite having a busy school schedule, Ben has found ways to help CHS as much as he can.  He regularly collects Millie’s Cans donations around town, and recently he has been helping us with our Annual Fund mail campaign (in between homework assignments!).

He is also a dedicated Cat and Small Animal Caretaker.  Ben stands out as an exceptional volunteer because he really embodies the charitable spirit.  He not only volunteers with the shelter, but also helps out at his high school library every week and is part of his schools Interact Club, the mission of which is volunteering in the community.  When asked what he likes most about volunteering, Ben told us, “I like that I can make every person and animal happy through the work that I do.”  And that he does! Keep up the good work Ben, and thank you so much for being a part of the CHS/LCAS volunteer family!

Our VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH series profiles our incredible, hardworking, beloved volunteers. Each month, this V.I.P.’s picture and award will be displayed on our website, at our Range Road building for the month, and their name inscribed on a special plaque.
