Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in being a volunteer at The Coastal Humane Society!

We serve as many as 2,500 animals per year. We cannot do it without people like you.

Our volunteer needs range from weekly commitments to once a year and everything in between.

We look forward to rewarding times together!

This webpage is dedicated to the memory of volunteer Don Beattie, who was always there for the animals and people of CHS.
Volunteers are Urgently Needed For ...

Morning Clean-up (8am-11am): Volunteers are needed to clean and freshen up rooms to make life comfortable for our furry friends at CHS.  You can make them feel very special and help our animals enjoy their stay with us until they are adopted into loving homes. Please contact Kathy Sullivan for more information at 725-5051 ext. 14 and help make our animals very happy

Laundry AM or PM (flexible schedule): Help give our CHS animals the comfort they deserve. A few hours of your time can help our animals live in the life of luxury! Please contact Kathy Sullivan for more information at 725-5051 ext. 14 if you want to make a difference.

Maintenance Worker

Videography - we have a video camera and need someone to videotape the animals.

Walking is a wonderful way to provide both emotional and physical health to an impounded animal. CHS has a great maze of wooded walking trails for our volunteers to use to give their animals a "cage break". Not only does it ease the obvious stess of impoundment, but also makes them more likely to find their forever homes!
