Flossie

Flossie is a 5+ year old Gordon Setter/Hound Cross; she is spayed and weighs 55 pounds. Flossie originally came to us as a stray but her previous owners signed her over to us when they realized they could no longer care for her. Flossie is a unique mix of Gordon Setter and hound. Gordon Setters were bred for hunting. They are self-assured with a love for water. They are strong willed and require continual training. Hounds were bred as scent hounds. They can be loving as well as independent and stubborn. Flossie likes other dogs, men, women, and children over the age of ten. She may not be adopted into a home with cats or small animals. Flossie is housetrained. She knows the command to sit and is a friendly and submissive girl. Because she has a tendency to run, she will need to be secured and watched outside. |
