Jericho: This handsome devil loves to be out and about! He is quite the curious guy who loves to wander around the room. He gets along with male cats, dogs, men, women, and children.

Welcome to the Coastal Humane Society.

Here at the Coastal Humane Society
the humane treatment of all animals is our
primary goal.

At CHS, providing food, shelter, medical
care and kindness to an abandoned or abused animal accomplishes the first half of that goal. Providing that animal, whether a vibrant
youngster or an "oldy, but goody", with the
chance to find love in his or her own forever home, completes that goal.

Perhaps yours is the perfect forever home for one of our CHS pets.

Maine has a large cat overpopulation problem.
The United States has approximately 60 million
pet cats and 60 million ferals.
In just seven years one un-neutered male and
one un-spayed female cat can produce up to 420,000 offspring!
